Child Slavery

Joseph Kony is the worst living criminal. He has abducted over 30,000 children and forced them to be child soldiers in Central Africa. He forces the girls he abducts into prostitution. He remains at large because he is invisible to the world. Few know his name, even fewer know his crimes.

As people who care about kids, we at Cornerstone Cottage Kids are joining InvisibleChildren.com in their efforts to make Joseph Kony famous. Because when he is, the world will unite for justice and demand his arrest. And the children will no longer be invisible.

A nationwide action took place on April 20,2012. Unfortunately, the demand for resources for that day outstripped the organization’s ability to keep up. So we’ve just received our Action Kit, and are planning a community action of some kind for Memorial Day weekend. We are brainstorming for ideas. Let us know if you’re interested in being involved. Stop by the store or send your email address to me (Keri) keri50441@gmail.com.
